The entire product range can be purchased on the university campus, at events organised by the University of St.Gallen and HSG Alumni, and through third parties. Orders can be placed via the internet at any time. The following terms of sale and supply (terms and conditions) apply:
The business relationship between HSG Shop GmbH (Dufourstrasse 50, 9000 St. Gallen, UID/VAT number: CHE-110.612.903; hereinafter “HSG Shop”) and the customer is governed solely by the following general terms and conditions in the version valid at the time of the order. HSG Shop does not acknowledge any deviating terms of the customer unless HSG Shop has expressly consented to their validity in writing.
Your order constitutes an offer to us to conclude a purchase contract. A purchase contract only arises when we dispatch the ordered product to you or it is made available for collection or we have confirmed conclusion of the contract. There is no purchase contract for products from one and the same order that are not listed in the confirmation of dispatch. The contract partner is HSG Shop
The customer can pay the purchase price including all shipping costs and applicable VAT by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Twint for online payments). In the case of credit card purchase, the corresponding amount is debited from the credit card account and the goods are dispatched.
Payment by the dispatch of cash or cheques is not accepted. The customer is liable for any loss.
Institutes, administrative and other bodies of the University of St.Gallen may buy our products on account. If the customer is in arrears for payments on account, HSG Shop is entitled to demand penalty interest of not more than 5% p.a. above the base rate published by the Swiss National Bank. If HSG Shop demonstrates that it has suffered a greater loss from delay, it is entitled the right to assert this greater loss. The invoice amount is due for payment upon receipt of the invoice.
Products that have been ordered are delivered as quickly as possible if they are available in stock, otherwise a written confirmation of order is sent by email with the provisional delivery date.
You can find information on the availability of products on the website. Please note that all information regarding the availability, dispatch or delivery of a product is only provisional and an approximate guide. Dispatch or delivery dates are not binding or guaranteed unless expressly indicated as binding dates in the shipping options for the product in question.
For deliveries within Switzerland, the recipient pays a flat shipping fee of at least CHF 7.00. Additional costs are charged if the nature of the items ordered makes it necessary to ship them in multiple packages or if the packages incur an additional charge due to their size or weight.
Additional costs are charged for shipping abroad. The effective shipping costs are itemised at the time of the order. Customs duties may also be levied in the country of destination These must be settled by the customer.
Unless otherwise agreed, goods are delivered to the delivery address indicated by the customer.
If, in the processing of your order, HSG Shop determines that the products you have ordered are no longer available, you will be informed of this separately by email or telephone. If HSG Shop is unable to deliver the goods ordered, it is entitled to withdraw from the contract with the customer. In this case the customer will be informed without undue delay that the product ordered is not available, and HSG Shop will refund the purchase price already paid. The customer’s statutory rights remain unaffected.
If delivery to the customer is not possible for reasons within the control of the customer, the customer must bear the costs of the unsuccessful delivery.
If the “Pickup in store” shipping option is chosen, the goods will be held for collection for 14 days from the time they are made available, after which they will be sent to the customer by post for a fee or, where possible, free of charge by internal post.
The goods supplied remain the property of HSG Shop until payment has been made in full.
Customers from Switzerland can exchange goods within seven days of receipt. Discounted goods are excluded from exchange, as are products consisting of food or alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. The costs for return shipments are the responsibility of the customer. A copy of the order documents must be enclosed with a return shipment. In the case of a return in person, the original invoice must be presented. There is no right of exchange for companies and organisations or for goods which were made to the customer’s specifications or were clearly tailored to the personal needs of the customer. Carriage and shipping costs are non-refundable. The customer will be invoiced the costs of renewed delivery.
Goods can only be exchanged within seven days of collection. The provisions for “Dispatch by post or internal post” also apply.
Customers from the European Union can cancel the contract within 14 days without giving reasons using the cancellation form or in some other written5 form (e.g. letter or email).
The period begins upon receipt of the goods (in the case of recurring delivery of goods of the same kind, from receipt of the first partial delivery). Timely notification that the right of cancellation is being exercised is sufficient for observance of the cancellation period. In the case of the “Pickup in store” option, the cancellation period begins upon collection of the goods.

In the event of effective cancellation, the goods and services received by both parties must be returned.
The goods must be returned to the above address within 14 days of notice of cancellation. The customer must bear the costs of return shipment.
The customer is liable for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is attributable to any handling of the goods not required for examination of the condition, properties and functionality of the goods.
The customer must meet obligations for the refund of payments within 30 days of sending the notice of cancellation. The period begins upon dispatch of the notice of cancellation or the item.
HSG Shop must repay all payments it has received from the customer within 14 days of being informed by the customer of the cancellation. The customer must bear the costs of returning the goods. In the case of purchase contracts, HSG Shop can refuse repayment until it has received the goods back or until the customer has provided evidence that they have returned the goods, whichever is earlier.
No right of cancellation exists for:
Goods which are made to the customer’s specifications or are clearly tailored to their personal needs
Sealed goods which are not suitable for return on grounds of health protection or hygiene and the seal of which was removed after delivery
Products consisting of food or alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages are likewise excluded from the right of cancellation
The customer is entitled to a two-year warranty for defects in the delivery item that existed at the time of purchase. If the customer discovers defects in the goods, they must notify HSG Shop of this within 14 days, failing which the delivered goods are deemed to have been approved.

All liability is excluded to the extent allowed by law. HSG Shop is not liable for losses attributable to slight negligence. HSG Shop does not accept any liability for indirect losses, including lost profit or sales, loss of use, or costs for the acquisition of replacement products.
In the event of disputes, Swiss law applies exclusively.
Consumers retain the right to bring claims under other law if they are domiciled in a jurisdiction outside Switzerland.
The place of jurisdiction is St. Gallen. Mandatory places of jurisdiction for consumers at their domicile remain reserved.
